IPC - The 2021 International Print Competition
Recently, photographers from all around the world competed in an International Print Competition through Professional Photographers of America (PPA). This is the 4th time I entered my images to this prestigious competition to be judged by a panel 36 jurors. I am excited to share that I earned a Bronze Medal this year! That means all four of the images I entered were judged and earned a “merit”. Two of these went on to earn Showcase, which is the best of the best of the merited images.
Over 5,000 images were submitted to this year’s competition and 58 photographers were awarded the Bronze medal. I am honored to be among such an incredibly talented group.
In addition to the medal, I have also earned enough merits to qualify for my Master of Photography degree in January at the annual PPA Imaging Convention in Baltimore. I have learned so much on this journey and could not have done it without the help of so many people - mentors, friends, and family who have supported and cheered me on.
While it’s been great earning medals and a degree, the biggest reward has been seeing how much my work has grown since I began this process a few years ago. I challenged myself in ways I never would have had it not been for working toward these goals.
