Southeast Guidedogs Walkathon- Suncoast
I had to look it up, but can you believe this is the 5th year that I’ve attended the Southeast Guidedogs walkathon as a vendor?? For me, there’s no better way to spend a Saturday morning than with dogs who give me all the feels!
Southeast Guidedogs provides service, guide and skilled companion dogs at no cost for those in need. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make this happen. But simply put - it’s a life changer for so many individuals.
I met so many wonderful pups walking for such a great cause! I even met a bearded dragon who walked this year! Never a dull moment at these events!
I’ve met folks who raise the puppies, the breeder dogs and who adopt one of these service or guide dogs. They all have such amazing stories. I’m in awe of all they do to make this happen.
Usually I bring my “big girl” camera (as I call her) to photograph the dogs during the walk. This year, I decided to stay close to my tent and get to know the dogs who stopped by a little better. Either way, I always go home feeling so happy and loved from all the puppy kisses I get!
If you didn’t know it, Fromm’s donates dog food to the over 600 active guide and service dogs all around the country. I love that the Fromm family does this! It also happens to be the dog food choice for my girls.
There are 5 walkathons throughout the state of Florida. If you’d like to participate, there’s still time to join the Tampa, Gainesville, or Orlando walkathon. To learn more, click HERE.
